I get what your are saying, but what I don’t get is what I feel is an idinronately high opinion of the Ashton Classic. While a good cigar, there just isn’t anything special about it. It is a relatively inexpensive mild cigar with a flavor profile ideal for a novice. This Ashton is a $6 stick. That may sound expensive, but really now a days that is probably the median price of a cigar. Everyone’s tastes are different, but there are very very few sticks under $5 that I would want to waste anyone’s time with. That isn’t to say there aren’t some inexpensive gems out there. , but I can’t think of a $2 cigar that I would ask anyone to smoke. I have tried plenty of them and most are crappy and at best they are merely smokeable. I’d much rather give a new guy one of these Ashtons so he can be introduced to a good cigar that isn’t going to over power him and turn him off to trying more. I’d consider it $6 well spent. But like you say, your mileage may vary.

Went to Indiana last night to the Riverside Cigar bar. Your Studio Tabac guy was awesome and explained each product in detail. Had a great time and bought a box of the NUB Habano 460, This Cigar is ridiculously good, you have a great Cigar here! Also received a Limited Edition Sampler that I am looking forward to in the future. Thanks

This is my first This is my first video where I am still playing aronud with the camera and seeing what direction I would take things, and was then amazed by the great response from everyone. The video is a part of my entries- the full entry with cigar profiles and information can always be found on the blog. I’m more about the perspective and lifestyle of enjoying cigars and introducing my female perspective. Something a little different but still fun that I hope cigar lovers can appreciate and enjoy.

I received one of the Serie G torp. in a sapmler a few months back, and since I have never had the opportunity to try this particular line, I’ve been waiting for the right moment to fire it up. When your review showed up in my facebook feed, I took it as a sign from above that today is the day! Thanks for the great review!

Completely agree Completely agree with you on the Maduro Nub- I was so excited when I found one but dinpopaisting in the taste..coming from the perspective of the Habano Nub, I was hoping it was just mine since it lacked any flavor and as only strength and smoke. I do think there is potential in it, and with some rest it could develop into a lovely smoke. I’ll have to have another before making judgment, and allow it some time to mature. I do love to see more being created, a very welcoming surprise.

Wow. Absolutely NO Wow. Absolutely NO useful inmoafrtion in this review except maybe how you love them or how they just complete your enjoyable day or how elegant the scissors are or how the nub is just so great that I should give some to my friends or how you’re using the torch lighter because it’s windy outside. I mean COME ON! Don’t call it a review unless you’re actually going to provide some good info. Maybe you should rename the video to Me smoking a nub.

As I write this, I am smoking a Serie G in my local cigar shop. I have smekod the Connecticut and Serie V, but this is my first G. I think I may have found my new favorite cigar. My only critisism is the ash wasn’t as firm as I like, but thats only style points. The flavor was second to none. Well done Oliva.

The NUB Habano is a The NUB Habano is a fantastic cigar, detefinily in the top three for me. Great flavors, lots of spice, along with an exotic sort of spice that’s hard to name. As far as the Maduro goes, I’ve had a few. They’re good, but they could use a little more age, from what I can tell. It’s also the Oliva’s first brazilian wrapped cigars, so it’s a different kind of flavor for them. I’m impressed that Sam has convinced them to do so much. Not even AJ Fernandez has done so.
